Foreword, dear visitors
"Sprouted from the Mark Brandenburg and scattered around the world..." - More than 400 years of the Pehleman/n family and its history, the approach and the task of bringing the global family closer to itself disappeared into the nirvana of the Internet until May 2023. There had been no interest at all in a family website, in family history and in the extensive family tree. So there was no light at the end of the tunnel. In the spring of 2023, my only option was to delete the old website along with its content and carefully collected data.
The time and circumstances now remind me again of a family website with a construction site "Family Pehleman/n worldwide" and the realization with a password-protected website. Of course, I won't be able to do this on foot until summer 2024 due to my ongoing eye and heart problems!
The website has to be redesigned - the requirements for modern websites have become more extensive: data protection is required, some cookies for functionality, interactions for the service, SEO optimization, responsive web design, multilingual websites, scripts, tools and databases for the data-protected family section with all the data overthere have to be integrated, and then all the old family tree data and documents have to be entered again, which will take even longer.
Despite everything, I am confident that I will be able to create a better website that will be well received by the family.
Nothing falls from the sky ready made. Wrong...
...because meteorites and people-made satellite debris fall down, not to mention airplanes, helicopters and people with parachutes.
Please take note of the guidelines on the following pages, which show what he, she, it and you or I are allowed to do here. Or not allowed.
Password access for all and sundry and strangers? That needs restrictions. Anyone (including third parties) who is interested in the family background here is always welcome to make inquiries.
Rules? Show private photos to everyone on the web? No or an ok to your photos. Make messages visible to everyone? No or an ok for your messages! I hope that this alone makes you understand the need for guidelines.
